Sponsors Solicited for Popular Event

The Shorewood Business Improvement District (BID) is proud to host the 7th annual Shorewood Criterium on Thursday, June 17! For this year’s race, the Shorewood BID is partnering with the Tour of America’s Dairyland (ToAD) race series to bring world-class bike racing to Shorewood. Tour of America’s Dairyland offers high-energy cycling action featuring the best of professional and amateur racers from across the country (www.tourofamericasdairyland.com). The complete race series runs from June 17- 27 in southeastern Wisconsin.

Over the past six years, the Shorewood Criterium has grown to become one of the Village’s most popular summer events. Thousands of residents and guests plan a special summer evening around the race course by inviting friends and family to join them on their lawns for a front-row seat. Plus, hundreds more join together to cheer on the racers at the thrilling finish line on Oakland Ave.

Corporate sponsors are now being sought for this exciting racing event! Sponsors will be prominently spotlighted in a comprehensive marketing campaign that includes race course signage, print ads, posters, website exposure and a full-color program mailed to every Shorewood household (7,000 quantity). For more information about the race or sponsorship opportunities, contact Shorewood BID Executive Director Jim Plaisted at 414.272.5823 or jim@shorewoodwi.com.

The Criterium is one of the many reasons Shorewood is truly a special place! Mark your calendars now for June 17 and catch all the action on North Oakland Ave. in Shorewood’s business district and adjacent residential streets. The races kick off at 5 p.m. and include a Kid’s Roll for neighborhood children.
